Volume 22, No. 3 of New Trends in Qualitative Research (NTQR) brings together a diverse collection of contributions that reflect the maturity, diversity, and ongoing innovation of contemporary qualitative research. The articles address key methodological, epistemological, and ethical issues, reinforcing the role of qualitative inquiry in understanding complex phenomena and advancing rigorous scientific knowledge.
The published contributions explore topics such as grounded theory, creativity and complex communication, research ethics involving people with disabilities, marginalised communities, and vulnerable adolescents, as well as the ethical challenges associated with qualitative research across different social contexts. The volume also highlights methodological innovation through proposals for progressive coding and multi-method qualitative approaches, alongside empirical studies addressing school–family relationships, gender and sexuality, interculturality, student agency, educational inclusion, entrepreneurship, and the use of patient-reported outcome measures in healthcare.
This issue also includes review articles examining the nature of qualitative systematic reviews and the teaching of qualitative research, contributing to methodological training and critical reflection on research practice. Collectively, these contributions reaffirm NTQR’s mission as an international forum dedicated to the advancement, critical reflection, and innovation of qualitative research methodologies.
