Doce trans-tornadx: Experiência de produção de arte a partir da pesquisa qualitativa em saúde

Abstract

Introduction: The use of the arts in qualitative research has been presented as an interesting resource in view of the possibility of expanding the spectrum of perspectives available for the construction and dissemination of knowledge. It enhances visibility and encourages community reflection and participation. Objectives: We aim to present the experience of art production from qualitative health research on the therapeutic itineraries of the trans population in a municipality in north-eastern Brazil. In addition to this, we would like to encourage dialogue between researchers in the field of health and the arts and contribute to the construction of a possible interface between these two areas. Methods: We developed a qualitative health research based on semi-structured interviews. The affects generated by the encounters with the subjects subsidized artistic production. Results: We perceive weaknesses regarding access to health. This search was marked by prejudice, stigma and violence and mobilized the research/artist in his production. Conclusions: The production of art from qualitative health research and its use is a powerful resource for the dissemination of knowledge. From this, it is possible to foster community or public participation as a means of promoting social change.
