Privacy Statement

New Trends in Qualitative Research (NTQR) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and other users of its editorial platform.

Personal data provided to NTQR, including name, institutional affiliation, email address, ORCID, country, contact details, submission history, reviews, and editorial communications, are used exclusively for purposes related to the editorial, scientific, technical, and administrative management of the journal.

These data may be used to manage submissions, peer review, and editorial decisions; contact authors, reviewers, and editors within the editorial process; ensure the integrity, traceability, and transparency of publication processes; prepare metadata associated with published articles; comply with legal, ethical, editorial, technical, and scientific indexing requirements; and communicate information directly related to the journal’s activity.

NTQR does not sell, transfer, or make personal data available to third parties for commercial, promotional, or non-editorial purposes.

Data may only be shared when necessary for the legitimate operation of scholarly publishing, namely with the OJS editorial platform, preservation services, indexing services, DOI registration services, originality-checking services, bibliographic metadata services, or other technical entities directly involved in the publication and scientific dissemination process.

NTQR respects the confidentiality of the editorial process. Submitted articles, reviewer reports, editorial decisions, and internal communications are treated as confidential information and are accessible only to those directly involved in the editorial process.

Personal data are retained only for the period necessary to fulfil the editorial, scientific, legal, and administrative purposes of the journal. Whenever possible, appropriate security measures, access restrictions, and protection against misuse, loss, alteration, or unauthorised disclosure will be adopted.

Users may request access to, correction, or updating of their personal data, as well as submit requests concerning their deletion, provided that this does not compromise legal, ethical, editorial, archival, or scientific record integrity obligations.

The publication of articles entails the public availability of the metadata necessary for the identification, citation, indexing, and preservation of published works, including authors’ names, affiliations, ORCID, country, title, abstract, keywords, DOI, and bibliographic references, where applicable.

By registering, submitting an article, accepting a review, or interacting with NTQR’s editorial platform, users acknowledge that their data will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Statement and exclusively within the scientific and editorial purposes of the journal.

For questions related to privacy and data protection, users may contact the NTQR editorial team through the official contact details available on the journal’s website.
